Manufacturing Engineer
Petaluma, CA | Contract to Hire
Hourly Pay Range: $65/hr. to $70/hr. (Based on relevant experience)
A fast-growing medical device company in the North Bay is adding a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer to support new product scale-up and GMP manufacturing. This is a fully onsite role in a small, fast-paced team where your work directly impacts commercial launch.
What You’ll Do
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment (pumps, piping, production systems)
• Write and execute validation protocols (IQ/OQ/PQ)
• Develop SOPs, WIs, and GMP documentation
• Improve processes for quality, yield, and efficiency
• Support audits, CAPA, and risk assessments (FMEA)
• Partner with Quality, R&D, and Validation teams during scale-up
What You Need
• 5+ years in GMP-regulated manufacturing (medical device strongly preferred)
• Strong validation experience (IQ/OQ/PQ)
• Mechanical aptitude with equipment and fluid systems
• Experience writing SOPs and technical documentation
• Knowledge of FDA 21 CFR 820 and ISO 13485
• High urgency, self-driven personality
• 100 percent onsite availability
