Reach/Forklift Operator – Warehouse, Logistics, Material Handling
Pay: $17.50 – $18.50 per hour
Position Type: Full-Time
Position Summary:
Seeking skilled Reach/Forklift Operators for a busy warehouse and logistics team. Candidates must have hands-on experience operating both standard forklifts and reach trucks. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to safety, efficiency, and accuracy while managing and moving goods in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate reach trucks and forklifts to load and unload goods from containers, trailers, and delivery vehicles
- Safely move palletized and crated products throughout warehouse or storage facilities
- Stack goods in proper storage locations following inventory control guidelines
- Ensure all loads are secure and safely arranged
- Manage empty pallets and maintain orderly storage areas
- Perform daily equipment checks, such as recharging batteries or changing propane tanks
- Remove attachments and waste materials from equipment as necessary
- Inspect products to verify they meet quality standards
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow operating procedures for equipment use
- Support general warehouse and housekeeping activities
Qualifications:
- Must have reach truck and standard forklift operation experience
- OSHA-compliant forklift certification required
- One or more years of relevant warehouse experience preferred
- Good math, reading, and language skills
- Excellent attention to detail and safety practices to prevent injury and promote a safe work environment
- Ability to follow instructions precisely and maintain good records
- Reliable, timely, and safe work performance
- Commitment to keeping workspaces clean and organized
