• A minimum of 3 years of high-performance Business Development/Sales experience within the Staffing and Recruitment industry
o Important Note: This role requires a background in selling talent/staffing services. Candidates whose primary experience is selling products (e.g., lab equipment, software, diagnostics, therapeutic products) to these clients will not be considered.
Job Summary
The Director of Business Development in the Life Science staffing industry is responsible for driving business growth through territory management, lead generation, and client relationship management. This role involves identifying and qualifying leads, conducting cold and warm outreach, setting appointments, creating proposals and pricing models, delivering presentations, negotiating and closing sales, and documenting customer agreements (e.g., contracts, service agreements). Post-sale, the Director collaborates with branch staff and internal teams to ensure effective service delivery, providing cost-effective, quality solutions for clients while fostering a positive work environment for temporary employees. The role aims to increase market share and profitability through a consultative selling approach, with a focus on the Biotech, Pharma, and Clinical Research Organization (CRO) sectors.
Responsibilities
• Sales and Client Engagement: Create and develop proposals and pricing models, deliver compelling presentations, negotiate and close sales, and document customer agreements (e.g., contracts, service agreements).
• Service Delivery Collaboration: Partner with branch staff, recruiting partners, and in-house Subject Matter Expert (SME) teams to qualify requisitions, deliver consultants to clients, and ensure effective service delivery post-sale.
• Business Reviews and Documentation: Conduct business reviews with clients, document sales activities, and participate in RFI (Request for Information) and RFP (Request for Proposal) processes.
• Performance Goals: Meet or exceed Gross Profit and Start goals as assigned by the manager, contributing to increased market share and profitability.
• Industry Knowledge: Stay updated on industry trends, technology advancements, and regulations relevant to the Life Science sector
• Internal Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with recruiting partners and internal SME teams to support client delivery and requisition qualification.
• Marketing Initiatives: Create and execute revenue-generating marketing initiatives and implement a daily action plan to drive business growth.
Qualifications/Experience:
• Proven track record of initiating and maintaining long-lasting client relationships, negotiating service contracts, and managing fees in the Biotech, Pharma, or Clinical Research sectors.
• Involvement in RFI and RFP processes.
Skills:
• Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced, competitive environment.
• Highly energetic with the ability to execute revenue-generating marketing initiatives and daily action plans.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact positively and cooperatively with sales-focused team members.
• Ability to forecast your pipeline into revenue generating opportunities for organization.
