Material Handler – Receiving Clerk
Location: Farmington, CT 
Schedule: 1st Shift | Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
Pay: $18–$19/hr 
Employment Type: Long-Term Temp

We’re hiring a Material Handler – Receiving Clerk to support daily material flow for a major manufacturing facility in Farmington. This role focuses on pulling parts, stocking, and supporting receiving operations.  You’ll move materials between receiving, storage, and production areas using pallet jacks, carts, and forklifts while maintaining accuracy, organization, and strong communication with internal teams.

What You’ll Do

  • Pull, stage, and deliver parts/materials to assembly and production areas


  • Support receiving operations, including unloading trucks and containers


  • Process goods receipts and stock transactions in SAP using PC or barcode scanners


  • Count, verify, and stock incoming parts onto storage shelves


  • Load and unload materials safely with pallet jacks, transport carts, or forklifts


  • Maintain inventory accuracy and record all in/out stock movements


  • Prepare labels, check paperwork, and resolve receiving discrepancies


  • Keep storage and material handling areas organized following 5S standards

What You Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent


  • Valid Connecticut driver’s license


  • Prior material handling, receiving, or warehouse experience preferred


  • Experience with SAP or other inventory/ERP systems a strong plus


  • Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs consistently


  • Ability to stand and work on concrete floors for extended periods


  • Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and reliability


  • Experience operating forklifts or driving large box trucks a plus
