Job Title: Packager 
Location: Houston, TX 77003  
Work Schedule: Mon – Fri, from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm   
Pay rate: USD $ 18.00  
Contract: Temp to hire 

Position Summary: 
Operate and monitor packaging processes and equipment in a dynamic, complex chemical manufacturing environment. Responsible for plant safety, compliance, quality, and productivity standards with hands-on duties in material handling, packaging, documentation, and emergency response. 

Key Qualifications: 

• Strong English reading, math, and technical skills 
  

• Ability to qualify on various processes/equipment 
  

• 1–2 years manufacturing experience, preferably in the chemical industry 
  

• 1+ year forklift driving experience 
  

• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, formulas, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
  

• Effective verbal and written communication
  

• Physically able to lift/move up to 75 lbs (with assistance) 

Core Responsibilities: 

• Operate and monitor packaging equipment and chemical processes 
  

• Handle, store, and transport chemical materials using forklifts and other equipment 
  

• Follow appropriate procedures for manual and automated operations 
  

• Package materials in proper containers 
  

• Respond to emergency situations and participate in shutdowns as needed 
  

• Keep accurate records (data sheets, inventory, inspection reports, environmental reports) 
  

• Maintain high standards of quality and housekeeping 
  

• Complete operator training and certifications 
  

• Work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed to meet production demands 
  

• Comply with EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) procedures and policies 

Work Environment: 

• Regular exposure to wet/humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, chemicals, high places, fumes, heat, noise, vibration, and outdoor weather
