Chemical Operator – Kansas City, KS
Kelly Science and Clinical is currently recruiting for qualified, full-time, fully-benefited, direct-hire, Chemical Operators for one of our clients. These positions are in Kansas City, KS area and for the world’s largest independent manufacturer of specialty lubricants. Business is booming and the need to fill these positions is immediate!
Summary of the Position:
The chemical operator performs all essential duties with particular emphasis on safety, quality, and productivity.
Responsibilities:
- Incorporates raw ingredients based on customer specifications.
- Follows batch tickets/mixing instructions to complete batches.
- Updates raw material inventory using computer software (SAP).
Qualifications/Education/Skills:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Chemical, Electrical or Mechanical Technician experience desired
- Compounding, blending, and/or mixing experience required
- Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing experience preferred.
- Must be able to read and perform manufacturing work instructions
- Ability to perform basic computer functions in systems such as MS Office, SAP, etc.
- Ability to repeatedly lift up to 50lbs as well as standing and walking for extended period
- Comfortable working in varying temperatures
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision
- Top skills to have include timeliness, attention to detail, and self-direction
Pay: $22-24/hr; (+$2 shift differential) possibly higher with experience
Hours: 11:00PM-7:00 AM or 10:00PM-6:00AM, Monday – Friday–flexibility with scheduling and option for OT during the week or weekends
