Job Title: Sr. Mechanical Engineer Analyst 
Location: Hollywood, FL
Pay: 90-160K/YR

Based in Hollywood, FL, our client designs and additively manufactures critical components for the Aerospace, Defense, & Space industry.

This is a unique opportunity to join a team that provides thermo-mechanical analysis, testing, & qualification support to a wide array of products specific to the development of thermal systems for defense, aerospace, and propulsion customers to address the following:

  • Structural Finite Element Modeling

  • Failure Theory Applications

  • Vibration and Modal Analysis

  • Shock Analysis

  • Dynamic Analysis

  • Component Qualification Test Support and Documentation

  • Conceptual & Detailed Design Reviews

Position Responsibilities

  • Solid “design-for-thermal” knowledge of general aerospace components, structural materials, and

  • Be able to dissect complex thermal problems into fundamental principles.

  • Ability to plan and perform thermal characterization experiments on single parts and complete assemblies.

  • Leads and provides technical quality review of the development and documentation of mechanical and fluid systems and thermal environment to establish the system design.

  • Develops thermo-mechanical conjugate models and solutions using FEA software.

  • Conducts structural FEA analysis by using outputs from thermal results such as STAR-CCM or ANSYS CFX-Fluent.

  • Performs hand calculations to determine cope of higher detail analysis models.

  • Performs detail analysis to solve diverse program thermal challenges.

  • Performs peer reviews of all analysis to validate process and results.

  • Interpret and analyzing results to make recommendations for improvements.

  • Responsible for leading chief engineering reviews and prepare presentations regarding modeling results.

  • Holds boundary conditions and modeling practices weekly reviews regarding the status and progress of the assigned project.

  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.

  • Maintain strong communication with internal and external customers as well as management and peers.


  • Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university in Aerospace Engineering or equivalent.

  • Experience in mechanical analysis using ANSYS Workbench or equivalent.

  • Strong understanding of thermodynamic and heat transfer principles.

  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.

  • Capability to assess the quality and impact of design changes in the context of a larger system.

  • Due to the nature of our work US Citizenship is required.

  • Demonstrated ability to balance department efficiency and service excellence.

  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills including ability to listen attentively and to communicate information clearly and effectively.

  • Demonstrated ability to work well with cross-functional groups.

  • Self-motivated, able to multi-task, and detail oriented.

  • Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

  • Must be able to learn procedures quickly and be a team player.

  • Able to maintain a professional demeanor and a polished professional appearance.


  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry.

  • 7+ years of experience in mechanical and thermal requirements.

  • 5+ years of experience in mechanical analysis tools.

  • 2+ years of experience with mechanical analysis tools such as Ansys Workbench or Simcenter 3D.


  • ANSYS Workbench or Simcenter 3D for structural simulation.

  • Additive Manufacturing experience including LPBF, AFSD, and EBM
