Job Title: Shipping/Receiving Worker
Location: Rochester Hills, MI
Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM Monday to Friday
Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour
Type: Temp-to-Hire
Overview:
Kelly Services is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping/Receiving Worker to support daily shipping and receiving operations in Rochester Hills, MI. This is a full-time temp-to-hire opportunity offering consistent hours, a supportive team environment, and room for growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Count and verify assemblies scheduled to ship
- Safely move materials using a Hi-Lo (forklift) – must be trained or experienced
- Prepare packaging materials used by production for finished goods
- Accurately record materials used in the shipping process
- Ensure all products and RMAs are packaged per shipping instructions using correct materials to prevent damage and ensure on-time delivery
- Pull, count, verify, and properly label all finished assemblies before submitting paperwork to Order Entry
- Verify and approve shipping label details including quantities and assembly numbers
- Receive and sign for incoming deliveries
- Assist Shipping Supervisor with investigating and resolving shipping discrepancies
- Support loading of outgoing shipments
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience in shipping and receiving preferred
- Experience operating a Hi-Lo (forklift) is strongly preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Basic record-keeping and communication skills
- Dependable and team-oriented
