Location: Charlotte, NC 28213
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 3:30 AM – 1:30 PM (10-hour days)
Employment Type: Full-Time | Temp-to-Perm
Pay Rate: $19.00 – $20.00 per hour (based on experience)
Overtime: Weekly OT available


Job Summary:

We are currently seeking a reliable and safety-focused Material Handler to support warehouse operations at our Charlotte facility. This role is responsible for the safe and efficient handling, movement, and storage of tires and wheels using both manual methods and powered equipment—including a cherry picker. This is a hands-on role ideal for candidates with warehouse experience who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are motivated by daily productivity goals.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Load, unload, and move tires and wheels by hand or using pallet jacks and cherry pickers


  • Operate a cherry picker to retrieve and store inventory in high racking systems


  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and quality


  • Accurately pick, label, and pack orders for shipment or pickup


  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment


  • Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed


  • Follow company safety procedures and warehouse guidelines


  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred


  • Minimum 1 year of warehouse or material handling experience (tire/automotive industry a plus)


  • Experience operating a cherry picker or willingness to be trained and certified


  • Able to lift up to 75 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods


  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety


  • Team-oriented with good communication skills


  • Dependable, punctual, and motivated to exceed production goals


Work Environment:

  • Fast-paced warehouse environment


  • Physical demands include frequent lifting, bending, reaching, and climbing


  • Exposure to varying temperatures based on season
