Kelly Services is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Associate. Candidates must have:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration or Economics BA preferred, or commensurate experience with at least two years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR). This is required.
- Experience and understanding of expense report policies and procedures and the end-to-end reimbursement process.
This role is 100% remote.
This is a contract opportunity, lasting 6-12 months, possibly longer. Talent that performs well and meets the production standards may be considered for longer term work in the department.

Job Description & Details:
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent and responsive customer service to vendors, suppliers, and internal clients.
- Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries related to accounts payable.
- Communicate and escalate sensitive or complex client issues promptly to management as well as provide insight into areas of responsibility.
- Verify invoices, purchase orders, and receipts to ensure compliance with company policies.
- Process accounts payable invoices accurately and efficiently.
- Resolve invoice discrepancies and issues with vendors and internal departments.
- Prepare and process payments, including checks, ACH transfers, and wire transfers.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date accounts payable records.
- Assist with month-end closing procedures.
- Promote compliance with policies and procedures.
- Contribute to special projects or assignments.
- Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change, or new ones may be assigned at any time based on institutional needs.
Education, Knowledge, and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration or Economics BA preferred, or commensurate experience with at least two years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
- Experience and understanding of expense report policies and procedures and the end-to-end reimbursement process.
Skills:
- Effective communication skills for efficient collaboration in a virtual environment.
- Strong attention to detail, and a high level of proficiency in accounting systems (preferably Deltek Costpoint and Cognos analytics).
- Demonstrated commitment to a good work ethic.
- Ability to provide high-level customer service in a high-volume and fast-moving team environment.
- Flexible and adaptable to prevailing circumstances.
- Proven organizational, analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, strategic thinker with strong tactical execution.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, prioritize objectives, and meet timelines.
- Advanced skills in MS Excel, including experience with large data sets.
