Now hiring a 2nd shift Thread Roller for our premier client in Wood Dale, IL!
Pay: $19-$35/hr
Hours: 4pm-2:30am, M-F
Location: Wood Dale, IL 60191
Position Type: Temp to hire
Job Summary: You will run rolling machines to produce threaded fasteners for heavy truck, automotive, and other markets.
Responsibilities
- Read and understand blueprints.
- Review and validate blanks, incoming materials, and tools
- Set up, troubleshoot, and operate thread rolling machines.
- Use machine controls, SPC & process monitoring systems.
- Use basic measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, thread ring gages, and other gages to check dimensional and attribute characteristics of threaded parts.
- Maintain quality records and other necessary forms and documentation.
- Follow instructions and directions from supervisors, team leaders.
- Good housekeeping of equipment, work area, and other assigned areas
- Perform daily and weekly machine maintenance to keep equipment in optimal working condition.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1+ years of operating cold heading or similar metal forming machinery
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced production environment
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Basic computer skills
- Results-driven
