Computer Assembler Job Description
Georgetown, TX
$15/hour
Monday-Friday, 7am-3:45 pm
The Computer Assembler is tasked with carrying out various system and component assembly operations in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures and instructions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute system/component assembly tasks following set procedures and instructions.
- Assemble and secure parts to assemblies, subassemblies, or frames utilizing hand and power tools.
- Connect cables, tubes, and wiring as per specifications.
- Align and adjust parts to ensure proper fitting and assembly.
- Interpret blueprints and specifications to identify component parts and assembly sequences for electromechanical units.
- Inspect, test, and adjust completed units to ensure they meet specifications, tolerances, and customer order requirements.
- Apply identifying labels to system parts.
- Conduct accurate system parts assembly following SOP.

- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization in the work area.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to thrive in a self-directed, high-energy, fast-paced setting.
- Manual dexterity for operating light power and hand tools.

Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Certifications: CompTIA or A+ Certifications are advantageous.
- Experience: 0-2+ years in manufacturing assembly; knowledge of computer hardware structures and hands-on experience is beneficial.
Additional Information:
- Rack Cable Labeling: Involves light lifting, repetitive tasks while seated.
- Rack Assembly: Physical role requiring frequent lifting (20-25 lbs), use of hand tools, torque drivers, and power tools.
- Rack Cabling: Characterized by light lifting demands.
- Assembly Operators: Involves working with small parts, requiring dexterity.
- Unboxing/Material Handling: Includes handling materials and lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Chassis Assembly: Requires repetitive lifting of 35 lbs.
