Job Title: Laboratory Analyst – Scientific
Location: Lodi, CA
Schedule: Wednesday to Saturday, 5am-3:30pm
Assignment Duration: 12mo
Pay Rate: $26/hour
Job Description:
This is an entry-level position supporting the Bulk Buffer, Reagents, and Bead Production Laboratories. The Laboratory Analyst is responsible for performing tasks in compliance with Good Documentation Practices (cGDP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and company quality, safety, and departmental standards. This role involves basic analytical or scientific methods and operational processes under close supervision.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Work safely with hazardous chemicals and strictly follow all safety policies
- Promptly report safety concerns, injuries, or suggestions
- Apply SOPs or scientific methods to perform routine tasks and problem-solving
- Responsible for:
- Bulk buffer formulation
- Bead dropping using a beadulator
- Loading/unloading lyophilizer
- Sieving beads
- Aliquoting and labeling reagents
- Perform pH and Conductivity testing
- Ensure accurate, real-time documentation (Right First Time – RFT)
- Monitor equipment performance and report issues
- Maintain lab cleanliness and manage inventory
- Identify defects/issues and escalate appropriately
- Recommend ideas for improving efficiency, quality, or safety
- Perform other department-support tasks as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma (or equivalent) with 1–2 years related experience OR
- Associate’s or Technical Trade Degree with 0–1 year experience
- High School Diploma (or equivalent) with 1–2 years related experience OR
Knowledge & Skills:
- Familiarity with cGMP, cGLP, FDA, and ISO standards
- Ability to follow SOPs, take direction, and communicate effectively
- Proficiency with Word, Excel, SAP, and email systems
- Awareness of team roles and collaborative work processes
Physical Requirements:
- Lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Perform repetitive wrist/arm motions
- Move materials up to 400 lbs using equipment
- Work in a controlled lab environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences
- Experience in GMP/ISO manufacturing environments
- Hands-on experience with analytical scales, pipettes, and hazardous chemicals
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including overtime and weekends
