Process Engineer – Injection Molding
Brownsville, Texas
Role Summary:
As an Injection Molding Process Engineer, you will support mold trials and transitions to production, resolve process issues, collaborate across teams, and drive improvements in cost and quality. This is a direct-hire opportunity offering competitive compensation and access to an innovative engineering environment.
Responsibilities:
- Support mold trials; transition new tooling/models into production
- Resolve scrap, cycle time, and process variability issues
- Collaborate with production, tooling, and maintenance teams
- Participate in capital projects focused on molding equipment and automation
- Review tooling and designs using CAD/3D modeling
- Implement process changes to reduce costs and improve quality
- Oversee new tool start-up and qualification
- Investigate equipment failures and propose corrective actions
- Support introduction of new molds, automation, and auxiliary equipment
Candidate Profile:
- Preferred: Degreed engineers (Bachelor’s or higher in Engineering)
- Also Considered: Candidates with a scientific molding background and certifications (RJG Mold Master and/or Paulson Pro Molder)
- Experience: Entry-level to experienced professionals
Equipment & Materials
- Injection molding machines: 100T – 5000T
- Materials: Commodity grades and engineered thermoplastic resins
