That means we can continue to support you in the school environment and facilitate communications on your behalf.

What can I expect in the school setting?

Now that you’ve applied to work alongside Kelly Pediatric Therapy and have received your school placement, it’s time to head to class! What can you expect on a day-to-day basis as a behavior technician in a school setting?

Here are some of the top skills required of the RBTs who work alongside us in schools:

Interventions

As a school-based RBT, your main priority is to support students on your caseload in the classroom. This requires the implementation of individualized behavioral health interventions.

At Kelly Pediatric Therapy, we take a Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) approach to interventions, which ensures that the right students get on the caseload. Our MTSS model is divided into three tiers of academic, behavioral, and social-emotional supports.

Collaboration

Working in the classroom setting as an RBT gives you the opportunity to work directly with students and implement personalized recommendations and interventions. To ensure your students have the support they need, you can collaborate with other therapists, teachers, parents, and administrators.

One of the many benefits of engaging with Kelly Pediatric Therapy is our network of therapists and dedication to collaborative learning. When in the classroom, you may work directly with Board Certified Behavior Analysts to ensure that the correct interventions are implemented throughout the school day.
