Kelly, in partnership with a large manufacturing organization, is looking for a Facilities & Safety Administrative Coordinator in Wixom, MI! This position is a contract role with a minimum duration of one year.
Role Overview:
The Facilities & Safety Administrative Coordinator is a highly visible role within the organization, frequently interacting with plant leadership, employees, contractors, and customers. Utilizing a strong mechanical background and solid understanding of facility and safety requirements, this role ensures the coordination of facility improvements, maintenance activities, security measures, Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) compliance at assigned facilities. In addition, the Facilities Administrative Coordinator is a key liaison to suppliers and contractors, responsible for the administration of proposals, invoices, and project schedules, while supporting ongoing and new building projects.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
• Serve as a central point of contact for plant leadership, employees, contractors, and customers regarding facility-related matters
• Coordinate facility site improvements and maintenance tasks at assigned locations
• Process purchase orders and manage relationships with contractors, suppliers, and vendors
• Support and drive facility maintenance efforts and cost reduction initiatives
• Oversee and coordinate all HSE requirements for both the facility and contractors
• Support facility security requirements
• Maintain and update the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) database
• Provide support as an Emergency Response Team (ERT) member
• Participate in and document all facility GEMBA Safety Inspections
• Support ISO 14001 and sustainability programs
• Perform additional duties as directed to assist the Facility Director or Facility Manager
Experience and Education Requirements:
• Minimum 2 years of building maintenance or related experience
• Demonstrated attention to detail with strong project management skills
• Knowledge of facility systems and technical requirements
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant computer applications
• High school diploma required; post-secondary degree or technical training preferred
