CNC Lathe and Mill Machinist

Pay Rate: 25-30/hr
Schedule: Monday- Friday 7am-3:30pm
Location: St. Louis, MO 63123


Job Description

This company is seeking skilled CNC Lathe and Mill Machinists to join our team in a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be proficient in machine setup and operation, possess strong technical skills, and adhere to rigorous quality and safety standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC lathes and mills according to blueprint specifications

  • Select and align holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, and materials

  • Machine parts with precision to meet blueprint and engineering requirements

  • Perform quality assurance checks using measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers

  • Make necessary machine adjustments and modify program speeds as needed

  • Collaborate with the team to meet production schedules and deadlines

  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment, following all company safety regulations

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency and part quality

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • Completion of apprenticeship or relevant training program preferred

  • On-the-job experience: journeyman-level experience is a plus

  • Working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) highly valued

  • Proficiency with measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers

  • Experience machining a variety of metals and plastics

  • Strong technical aptitude and basic math skills

  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
