Job details
As a Product Design Engineer, you will work with a team to design new products to bring to market, driving innovation. Role is in Paramount, CA. and is an open-ended contract 6+ months or more.

$40-$60/HR
Responsibilities:
- Delivers Engineering supports all aspects of the product development lifecycle from ideation to detailed design, specification, analysis, and verification.
- Product design and engineering and material selection.
- Supports new concept/idea generation via prototyping, rendering, Design Engineering Best Practices, and Material selection.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Material Sci. and/or Industrial or a related field). .
- 2-7 years relevant work experience in Product Development/Engineering, Technology Leadership including managing small technical teams.
- Familiarity with product design and engineering with metals and castings is a big plus!
- Competent in engineering a product from scratch using sound engineering principles and best practices, taking appropriate material selections and construction designs into consideration.
- Strong experience with Solidworks or other 3D Software
- Knowledge of Lean Sigma tools for identification of root causes and proposed solutions within DFMEA/ PFMEA, Lean/ Six Sigma Fundamentals.
