Kelly is currently seeking an experienced Sales/Surplus Asset Disposition Coordinator in the Houston, Texas area! This role supports the company’s surplus asset disposition strategy by coordinating purchasing activities, managing vendor contracts, and driving continuous improvement. The coordinator will lead communication and change management efforts with stakeholders and ensure alignment with compliance, value recovery, and strategic sourcing goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate surplus asset disposition (sale, donation, redeployment) with site focal points.
- Prepare and manage surplus sales agreements, donation contracts, and miscellaneous invoicing.
- Validate DOA approvals and tax exemptions; manage customer codes and documentation.
- Negotiate new scrap metal contracts with additional vendors to drive competition.
- (Re)negotiate contractual language in existing scrap metal agreements to enhance value generation.
- Maintain a process to competitively bid equipment, scrap metals, and other materials.
- Own and maintain the benefit tracking file; store in a centralized location accessible to all team members.
- Continue communication and change management activities with stakeholders to drive program support.
- Uplift existing training materials to reflect newer tools and processes.
- Schedule and lead training sessions with site focal points to promote awareness and best practices.
- Implement improvement opportunities identified through brainstorming with site teams.
- Maintain global scorecards and ensure alignment with governance and compliance protocols.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in surplus asset sales and scrap metal contract negotiation.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities across global sites.
