Summary:

  • Assure compliance with the quality management system, policies and procedures.

  • Provide support to manufacturing operations and assure compliance with product specifications and regulatory standards.

  • Provide liaison with other departments such as operations, engineering and with customer representatives in problem solving analysis involving product quality.

  • Establish a mechanism to evaluate and measure quality, product materials discrepancies and investigate and report non-conformances.

  • Support and participate in internal/external auditing activities.

  • Provide guidance to the inspectors on the workmanship standards.

  • Prepare and implement quality programs associated with contract requirements or as directed by management.

  • Develops proactive quality initiative strategies and drives their implementation.

  • Performs and follows Escape management procedures, root cause analysis, and recommends corrective action for design problems for internally produced products & processes.

  • Recommends product engineering changes to satisfy quality issues raised by customers.

  • Responsible for both Program and Product Quality Engineering.

  • Reviews procedures and metrics that impact quality and make recommendations to improve compliance with internal standards

Requirements:

  • BS degree in Engineering with 3+ years’ experience in Quality Engineer Position.

  • Effective communication and presentation skills in English and Spanish (verbal and written).

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

  • Experience in using computer applications, with a working knowledge of software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.

  • Knowledge of / experience in a Quality facing role.

  • Experience in a multi-responsibility organization.

  • IPC electronic assembly standards knowledge (preferred)

  • Lean Six Sigma (preferred)

  • Presentation and communication skills

  • Read and interpretate blueprints, diagrams, and/or technical instructions.
