Summary:
- Assure compliance with the quality management system, policies and procedures.
- Provide support to manufacturing operations and assure compliance with product specifications and regulatory standards.
- Provide liaison with other departments such as operations, engineering and with customer representatives in problem solving analysis involving product quality.
- Establish a mechanism to evaluate and measure quality, product materials discrepancies and investigate and report non-conformances.
- Support and participate in internal/external auditing activities.
- Provide guidance to the inspectors on the workmanship standards.
- Prepare and implement quality programs associated with contract requirements or as directed by management.
- Develops proactive quality initiative strategies and drives their implementation.
- Performs and follows Escape management procedures, root cause analysis, and recommends corrective action for design problems for internally produced products & processes.
- Recommends product engineering changes to satisfy quality issues raised by customers.
- Responsible for both Program and Product Quality Engineering.
- Reviews procedures and metrics that impact quality and make recommendations to improve compliance with internal standards
Requirements:
- BS degree in Engineering with 3+ years’ experience in Quality Engineer Position.
- Effective communication and presentation skills in English and Spanish (verbal and written).
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
- Experience in using computer applications, with a working knowledge of software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.
- Knowledge of / experience in a Quality facing role.
- Experience in a multi-responsibility organization.
- IPC electronic assembly standards knowledge (preferred)
- Lean Six Sigma (preferred)
- Presentation and communication skills
- Read and interpretate blueprints, diagrams, and/or technical instructions.
