What’s a typical day as a Material Handler? You’ll be:
- Picking, packing, sorting, arranging, counting, and storing items for shipment or storage according to established procedures and customer requirements
- Receiving and verifying materials and finished goods daily, including checking quality, type, and amount, and ensuring proper documentation
- Operating distribution equipment safely and efficiently
- Working in a warehouse environment with varied temperatures, including cold-room and freezer-room conditions
- Completing training requirements and following all ISO standards and site policies
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Possess up to 2 years of related experience (some logistics experience preferred)
- Have basic computer skills and can use ERP systems, Outlook, and shipping software
- Can operate powered industrial trucks and work at various heights (training provided) • Demonstrate strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions and schedules independently
- Are able to lift up to 25lbs continuously and occasionally up to 50lbs, and are comfortable with repetitive tasks and moderate to high noise levels
- Are flexible to work any shift, varying schedules, hours, and overtime as needed
