Job Summary
The ideal candidate will have some experience in operating press brake machines and will be responsible for fabricating metal components with precision and accuracy. This role requires mechanical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to read blueprints effectively. The Press Brake Operator will work closely with other team members to ensure high-quality production standards are met.
Responsibilities
- Operate press brake machines to bend and shape metal components according to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine the appropriate machining processes.
- Perform quality inspections of finished products using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers.
- Utilize hand tools and machinery, including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and stamping presses, to complete fabrication tasks.
- Conduct routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with team members for assembly processes and quality control checks.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Requirements
- Work on 2nd shift (start and train on first shift for 2-3 weeks).
- Proven experience operating press brake machines in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with CNC programming, CNC laser cutting, plasma cutting, electrical discharge machining, and welding is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot machinery issues effectively.
- Proficient in blueprint reading and basic math skills for precise measurements.
- Experience with sheet metal fabrication and tooling techniques is a plus.
- Ability to perform quality inspections using precision measuring instruments.
- Knowledge of additional machinery such as cranes and hand tools is beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
