Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced, certified Material Handling Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will safely operate various types of equipment, including sit down counter balance forklifts, deep reach trucks, order selectors, turret trucks, and electric pallet jacks in multiple configurations—standard aisles, wire guided, and refrigerated environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate material handling equipment for:
- Inbound trailer unloading
- Stock put away and movement
- Cycle counting and picking
- Outbound loading of trailers and LTL shipments
- Inbound trailer unloading
- Follow all directions provided by Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) via radio frequency (RF) devices, pick-to-light technologies, or computer-based workstations
- Pick case quantities and build pallets for extended periods using powered equipment or manual pallet jacks
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- General knowledge of RF equipment
- Experience in warehouse or distribution environments
- Proficiency with job-specific machinery and equipment
- Basic mathematical skills (counting, adding, multiplying)
- Basic computer skills
Requirements:
- Valid certification for the operation of the specified equipment
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution setting preferred
- Strong attention to safety and operational procedures
- Ability to lift [Insert weight requirement]
- Ability to work in refrigerated environments as needed
