Location: Eagan, MN
Pay Rate: Starts at $58.00/HR
Work Setup: Hybrid (In-office 2 days/week; office closed Fridays)
Position Type: Part-time, 20-25 hours per week
The Language Services Manager role will be responsible for developing and implementing language strategies, managing translation, interpreting and localization projects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with the Health Equity Accreditation (HEA) language access requirements, as well as Federal and State language access requirements, thereby guaranteeing the provision of accurate, timely, and culturally relevant medical information to the Company’s diverse member base.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional related experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in language services management, including translation, interpreting, localization and cultural adaptation
- Strong leadership and team management skills; ability to motivate and guide a diverse team of language professionals
- Exceptional project management skills; manage simultaneous projects, prioritze tasks, and meet deadlines
- Proficient in using translation management tools, content management systems, & relevant software apps
- Excellent communication skills with a keen eye for detail, grammer, and cultural appropriateness
- Familiarity with international markets, cultural dynamics and linguistic trends
- Strong negotiation and vendor management abilities
- Analytical mindset with the ability to use data-driven insights for decision-making and strategy development
- Proven experience in project management related to healthcare services transition and regulatory compliance
- Familiarity with Medicaid and Medicare regulations and language access requirements
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and healthcare communications
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Linguistics, Translation, Communication or a related field
- Fluency in multiple languages is a plus
- Professional certifications in translation or related fields are advantageous
