Job details

Location: Plymouth, MN 
Pay Rate: $19.50 – $22.00 per hour 
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 4:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. (10-hour shifts) 
Overtime: Occasional Fridays as needed 
Type: Temp-to-Hire | In-Person Interview Required (includes dexterity and skills assessment) 

Position Overview

As an Assembly Operator II, you’ll play a key role in operating, adjusting, and maintaining automated assembly equipment to ensure the production of high-quality components. This position requires attention to detail, strong mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Safely operate high-speed, large-scale automated assembly machinery. 

  • Perform equipment set-ups, changeovers, and make complex mechanical adjustments. 

  • Conduct quality checks in accordance with the Quality Inspection Plan (QIP) and record specified measurements at required intervals. 

  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on equipment (daily/weekly/monthly). 

  • Identify and reset machine faults, clear jams, restart production, and package finished products. 

  • Use tools such as height indicators, gauges, microscopes, and optical inspection equipment. 

  • Replace worn or damaged components such as sensors, punches, dies, belts, and air cylinders. 

  • Ensure adherence to all safety procedures and operational standards. 

Qualifications & Skills 

  • 1+ year of experience operating or maintaining automated or semi-automated assembly machinery. 

  • Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills. 

  • Familiarity with precision measuring tools and quality inspection methods. 

  • Ability to read and follow detailed work instructions and specifications. 

  • Comfortable standing for long periods and performing repetitive tasks. 

  • Reliable, team-oriented, and eager to learn new skills.
