Payrate: $20.00/hour
Location: Carmel, IN
Schedule: Temp-Hire | Monday–Friday 8am-5pm | 100% On-site
Overview
We’re seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Coordinator to support our Accounts Payable and disbursement operations. In this role, you’ll handle daily check distribution, ensure payments are properly mailed, and provide essential support to internal teams. This position requires strong data entry skills, accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
This is an internal customer-focused position with occasional interaction with external bank contacts.
Key Responsibilities
- Process daily Accounts Payable checks for mailing and internal distribution.
- Scan and upload check request backup documents into P8.
- Communicate with banking partners regarding positive pay exceptions.
- Collaborate with the offshore EXL team to process returned checks and remail to policyholders.
- Key manual checks into the disbursement system and prepares for mailing.
- Package and send checks to Bankers Life and Casualty Company branch offices.
- Support the daily policy by checking mailing processes and preparing overnight packages as needed.
- Prepare and post EBS Journal Vouchers as necessary.
- Process voids and stop payments in EBS or CDS as required.
Qualifications
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1–2 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or related field.
- Strong attention to detail and data entry accuracy.
- Excellent organization and communication skills (verbal and written).
