Kelly Services is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Injection Molding Supervisor in Pomona, CA. The primary responsibility is to lead hourly production teams, ensure machine efficiency, and oversee the safe and effective operation of injection molding processes. This includes collaborating with various departments to meet company goals and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Position: Injection Molding Supervisor – Full-time, Temp to Permanent position
Location: Pomona, CA 91766
Schedule:
3rd Shift: Sun–Thurs, 9:30pm–6:00am — $31.00/hr
With overtime as required
Position Overview:
The Production Machine Operator III (Injection Molding Supervisor) oversees production teams to ensure safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and productivity goals are met. Responsibilities include coordinating daily operations, training team members, troubleshooting production issues, and maintaining compliance with company procedures. This role requires a strong background in manufacturing and leadership, reporting directly to the Production Manager.
Key Responsibilities:

Supervise hourly operators and ensure production targets are achieved.

Conduct daily team meetings to communicate goals and updates.

Collaborate with departments such as Quality, Planning, R&D, and Engineering.

Lead root cause investigations to reduce defects and improve processes.

Train and develop team members on SOPs, GMP, and safety protocols.

Maintain accurate shift records, schedules, and attendance logs.

Monitor equipment uptime, implement 5S practices, and support TPM initiatives.

Identify and act on cost-reduction and productivity improvement opportunities.
-
Ensure a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

Assist in resolving personnel issues and provide performance feedback.

Follow all safety policies and participate in incident investigations.

Support lean manufacturing practices including Standard Work and Kaizen events.

Complete additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
-
High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field preferred.

Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience in a lean manufacturing environment.

Experience with injection molding and CNC equipment troubleshooting.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.
-
Team-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset.

Familiarity with Oracle ERP (Discrete Jobs, BOM, Routing).

Strong Excel skills and ability to read engineering prints.

Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced setting.
Physical Demands:

Must be able to stand and/or sit for long periods.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds throughout the shift.

Work environment includes moderate to loud noise levels.

Flexible schedule including overtime and alternate shifts as required.
