Job Title: Material Handler I – Packer
Location: Byhalia, MS
Pay Rate: $17 per hour
Summary:
The Material Handler I – Packer is responsible for safely and accurately moving products through the distribution center, adhering to all safety and company policies. The role also emphasizes maintaining a positive work environment through effective communication.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Verify and apply stickers for inbound and outbound processes.
- Process hazardous materials according to regulations.
- Utilize Radio Frequency Terminal/Scan gun for warehouse operations.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, environmental, health, and safety requirements.
- Process and stage damaged products as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Participate in projects aimed at operational improvement.
- Complete necessary documentation for orders and inventory discrepancies.
Physical Requirements:
- Standing: 85%
- Sitting: 10%
- Kneeling/Stooping/Crouching: 5% each
- Lifting: Maximum of 65 lbs
- Walking: 35%
- Carrying, Pushing & Pulling: 65 lbs+
Qualifications:
- Required: High School Diploma or GED; basic math skills; ability to read and communicate effectively; willingness to work overtime; understanding of temperature scales.
- Preferred: Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and Warehouse Management Systems.
- Available for all shifts
