Customer Service / Export & Import Clerk
Location: North Charleston, SC
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Onsite, 5 days per week)
Pay: $20–$22 per hour
Type: Temp-to-Hire


About the Role:
We have an immediate opening for a Customer Service / Export & Import Clerk to join our Charleston office. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in logistics and customer support, with potential for a permanent role based on performance and business needs.

In this role, you will assist with export and import documentation, shipment tracking, and customer communication. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Support export and import operations by preparing shipment documentation


  • Update and maintain Excel spreadsheets and Word files daily


  • Communicate via Outlook with internal teams and, after training, external customers


  • Review freight invoices and apply freight codes for payment


  • Create certificates of origin and other documentation as needed


  • Track shipments and provide customers with updates on delivery and arrivals


  • Assist with customer and carrier problem resolution


Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in Excel and basic computer skills


  • Excellent verbal and written communication


  • Basic customer service experience


  • Strong multitasking and organizational abilities


  • Fluent in English


Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with export documentation


  • Strong background in customer service, order processing, or logistics
