Position Overview
The Clinical Specialist CS uses their expertise to support our clients innovative Wound Care Division. The CS facilitates the clinical sales strategy in focused accounts and supporting the sales call pathway from a clinical orientation. Through the development of collegial and professional relationships, they influence change in healthcare to improve clinical outcomes and deliver on corporate objectives.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a travel position covering a multi-state territory NV and Northern CA. Candidates must be based in Northern CA!

Responsibilities
Accountabilities:

  • Develop and implement the Clinical Sales Strategy in association with Strategic Accounts and Sales in our top targeted accounts.

  • Deliver product related programs, including professional education events, development of evidence QIPs and other peer-to-peer events to appropriate audiences and groups that grow or defend the Wound Care Division s product portfolio.

  • Develop implementation tools and deliver CICs where and when appropriate.

  • Leverage opportunities through cross-training knowledge and networking.

  • Coordinate clinical activities with designated Area Sales Managers, Regional Managers, Territory Sales Managers or Strategic Accounts personnel to assist in the achievement of sales goals to improve patient and clinical outcomes.

  • Act as the primary clinical resource for Territory Sales Managers, ensuring that clinical policies and procedures are properly implemented.

  • Provide training and support for new hire Territory Sales Managers.

  • Assist with additional training of tenured Territory Sales Managers in the classroom, in the field and at National Sales or Region Meetings.

  • Represent MHC as an active member of Clinical Associations.

  • Identify and nurture potential advocates and clinical investigators.

  • Partnering with Marketing, Strategic Accounts and Business Development departments as needed.

Key Decisions:

  • Facilitates the selection and approval of clinical documents to be used in educational as well as consultative efforts.

  • Collaborate with Medical Professional Affairs MPA department members and key stakeholders to ensure activities drive core business results.

  • Serves as a clinical resource in the research and development of new products, clinical trials, and the market launch of new products or services as requested.

  • Demonstrates fiscal responsibility in the management of time, travel, and resources related to business.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Physical Therapy, or a related specialty required.

  • Master s Degree preferred.

  • Must be certified in 1 of the following: CWOCN (Certified Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nurse), CWCN (Certified Wound Care Nurse), CWON (Certified Wound Ostomy Nurse) OR

  • Approximately 5-7 years of progressively responsible, work-related experience as a certified wound care clinician.


  • Comprehensive knowledge of wound care industry.

  • Strong industry clinical network preferred.

  • Experience in presenting to large and small groups.

  • CWS (Certified Wound Specialist).
