About the Role

We are seeking a Sanitizer to join our team on 2nd Shift. This role is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe production environment by performing detailed cleaning and sanitizing of processing and production equipment. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, and thrives in a hands-on manufacturing environment.

Compensation and Schedule

Pay Rate: $19.00 – $21.00 per hour

Shift Differentials:

• 2nd Shift: +$1.50/hour

  
  

• 3rd Shift: +$2.00/hour

  
  

• Weekend Days: +$2.00/hour

  
  

• Weekend Nights: +$2.50/hour

Schedule:

• 2nd Shift: Monday – Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM ET

This position may occasionally require off-shift, weekend, or holiday coverage based on business needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily environmental cleaning and sanitization of production and process equipment.

  
  

• Complete daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning checklists to maintain compliance with sanitation standards.

  
  

• Investigate and respond to out-of-trend cleaning data and assist with root cause analysis.

  
  

• Prepare and document cleaning solutions; safely handle and move equipment and chemicals as needed.

  
  

• Verify sanitation solution concentrations and effectiveness.

  
  

• Follow all chemical handling and safety procedures.

  
  

• Cross-train on various production machinery and systems.

  
  

• Operate and navigate computer systems and sanitation-related applications.

  
  

• Assist operators with cleaning and maintenance tasks such as clean-in-place (CIP), dry and wet cleans, equipment assembly/disassembly, silo switches, and start-up/shut-down operations.

  
  

• Operate a vacuum sealing machine and process rework materials in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Work Instructions.

  
  

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required.

  
  

• Skills: Ability to read, write, and follow detailed written instructions.

  
  

• Must be dependable, safety-oriented, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

• Regular bending, stooping, and lifting up to 55 pounds.

  
  

• Standing and walking for up to 10+ hours per shift.

  
  

• Exposure to noise, warm temperatures, cleaning chemicals, and industrial equipment.

  
  

• Must be able to wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE).

  
  

• Ability to work from ladders, scaffolding, and staging as required.
