Compensation: $90K-$120K
A direct-hire opportunity awaits an accomplished Power Electronics Engineer with 5–10 years in power conversion and management system development. This role emphasizes creating next-generation energy solutions through DC-DC conversion, voltage regulation, power conditioning, and efficiency improvement, along with expertise in PCB design and circuit integration. You’ll work alongside cross-functional teams to turn advanced requirements into effective, manufacturable designs.
Primary Duties:
- Create and improve power conversion systems (DC-DC, DC-AC, AC-DC) for high-dependability projects.
- Advance power management designs to boost efficiency, reduce size, and enhance reliability.
- Conduct PCB layout and seamlessly integrate power electronics into tightly packed product assemblies.
- Simulate and model electronic circuits; perform detailed performance reviews.
- Test, validate, and troubleshoot power systems in rigorous operating conditions.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams to ensure integration into final product lines.
- Assist with preparation of technical documents, contribute to design reviews, and uphold industry safety and performance standards.
Required Skills and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• 5–10 years of direct experience in power electronics design and creation.
• Proficient in PCB design software (Altium, Cadence, OrCAD, or similar).
• Strong foundation in DC-DC conversion, voltage control, and power conditioning.
• Experience designing high-efficiency, low-power electronic products.
• Knowledgeable about EMI/EMC standards and thermal management in electronic systems.
• Excellent analytical abilities with a proven record in fast-paced, collaborative R&D environments.
Desirable Qualifications:
• Background in power electronics for radiation-hardened or severe environments.
• Experience with high-voltage or high-frequency applications.
• Familiarity with embedding controls in power electronics systems.
• Track record of reliability testing and qualification for energy, aerospace, or defense products.
