Kelly Services is seeking an Accounting Clerk for a medical manufacturing company in Orlando, FL.
The Accounting Clerk is a crucial support position within the accounting department, tasked with performing carious duties to maintain accurate efficient financial records. This role includes daily filing and scanning of documents and assisting the finance department with projects like quarterly and year-end audits. Strong multitasking and effective communication skills, both verbal and written are essential for success in this role. The Accounting Clerk is integral to the smooth functioning o the accounting department and the organization’s overall financial well-being.
Duties and Responsibilities:
-Verifying the accuracy of invoices and other accounting documents or records.
-Update and maintain accounting journals, ledgers, and other records detailing financial business transactions. Enter data into computer system using defined computer programs.
Compile data and prepare a variety of repots/spreadsheets.
-Reconciliation of internal company records and external vendors or customers.
-Daily filing/scanning of accounting documents.
-Support Finance department with projects to include quarterly and year end audits.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
-Understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
-Familiarity with financial regulations and compliance requirements.
-Proficiency using spreadsheets and accounting software to process business transactions.
-Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
-Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with internal teams and external vendors/customers.
-Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial records and reports.
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
-Capacity to handle confidential information responsibly.
-Adaptability to learn new software and process quickly.
-Problem-solving skills to resolve discrepancies and issues in financial records.
-Flexibility to assist with special projects and support audits as needed.
-Dependability and reliability in meetings deadlines and commitments.
Preferred Education:
-Undergraduate degree in business related area of study.
-Prior Accounting experience.
-Experience with accounting software such as Expandable or Salesforce.

This role primarily operates within an office setting conducive to performing detailed accounting duties and supporting the organizations overall financial objectives.
