Kelly Services is seeking a Quality Inspection Supervisor for a busy Manufacturing company located in Longwood, FL 32750
Pay- $24-$28/hour
Schedule- Mon-Thu 7am-4pm, Fri 7am-1pm

Overview
The Quality Inspection Supervisor will oversee Quality Inspectors to maintain and elevate the quality of all production areas. You will ensure the team meets or exceeds standards for safety, inspection requirements, documentation, on-time delivery, and productivity. The role reports directly to the Quality Assurance Manager (Personnel) and Quality Engineer (Technical).
Duties and Responsibilities
Personnel Management
- Supervise quality inspection staff, ensuring optimal performance
 
- Conduct team meetings, training, and oversee the development, training, records, and certifications of inspectors
 
- Handle performance reviews, disciplinary actions, and interviews per company policy and management guidance
 
- Monitor and approve clock records and PTO requests
 
- Collaborate with QM/QE and Production teams to assign inspectors and optimize workflow/resource allocation
 
- Communicate directives including CAPA, audit results, MRBs, ECR/ECN, and Quality Alerts to staff
 
- Review inspection documentation for accuracy and consistency
Technical Expertise
- Drive improvements in quality process
 
- Support development and implementation of QMS documents and records
 
- Conduct internal audits of work instructions, processes, and procedures
 
- Coordinate first article inspections with the Quality Engineer
 
- Promptly communicate production or quality issues to management to minimize downtime
 
- Review quality documents to ensure procedure adherence
 
- Identify and correct inspection process issues related to materials, equipment, workflow, and skill level
 
- Perform initial reviews of nonconforming materials and collaborate with team to determine disposition
 
- Support daily inspections and perform other assigned duties
Qualifications
- Working knowledge of ISO-9001 and AS9100/9102 (required)
 
- IPC-WHMA-A-620 and/or J-STD-001 Certification (preferred)
 
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
 
- Proficient with inspection tools (rulers, micrometers, calipers, microscopes, etc.)
 
- Experience with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
 
- Strong organizational skills; able to prioritize and act proactively
 
- Excellent accuracy, thoroughness, attention to detail
 
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
 
- Demonstrated problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
 
- Ability to develop, coach, and motivate employees
