About the Role
The Assembly Operator is responsible for the safe operation, setup, and maintenance of automated assembly machines. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to quality standards, and the ability to perform both preventive maintenance and complex adjustments on high-speed production equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- 
	
Safely operate assigned high-speed, large-scale automated assembly machines 
- 
	
Perform complex repairs, adjustments, and equipment changeovers as needed 
- 
	
Conduct quality checks in accordance with the Quality Inspection Plan (QIP) and document specified measurements 
- 
	
Carry out daily, weekly, and monthly preventive and routine machine maintenance 
- 
	
Identify and reset machine faults, clear jams, and restart production 
- 
	
Remove, inspect, and properly package finished products 
- 
	
Adjust housing feed and tooling based on production standards and specifications 
Technical Tasks May Include
- 
	
Tooling adjustments such as sharpening, conditioning, and setting spring-loaded pins, bend stations, or insertion stations 
- 
	
Replacement of sensors, punches, dies, belts, stock components, and air cylinders 
- 
	
Use of height indicators, ram optics, gauges, and microscopic visual checks to ensure product accuracy 
Qualifications & Experience
- 
	
1+ years of relevant experience in assembly, machine operation, or manufacturing 
- 
	
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability 
- 
	
Familiarity with basic tools, measuring instruments, and inspection equipment 
- 
	
Ability to follow safety procedures and recognize when deviation from standard processes is needed
