Turnaround Maintenance Planner /  Scheduler
Main Functions:
Develops detailed job plans and field work packages for mechanical resources involved in the turnaround, covering repairs and construction of fixed/rotating equipment, electrical, instrumentation, and analyzers.
What’s a typical day as a Turnaround Scheduler/Planner? You’ll be:

• Creates comprehensive job plans including resource needs, safety procedures, repair steps, drawings, scheduling (Gantt charts), and cost estimates.
  

• Coordinates planning and communication with schedulers, supervisors, and other craft planners to ensure alignment with turnaround objectives, safety, quality, and budget.
  

• Updates plans for change orders and new work during turnaround; participates in reviews and reporting.
  

• Conducts safety reviews, develops punchlists, and manages milestone plans and work lists.
  

• Oversees contractor coordination, material orders, logistics, mobilization/demobilization, and best practice implementation.
  

• Maintains effective communication throughout all turnaround phases, addresses scope changes, field orders, budgets, schedule updates, and contractor progress.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Prior related Turnaround Scheduling / Planning experience; safety-focused mindset and proven track record.
  

• Broad mechanical expertise (pipe fitting, welding, boilers, electrical, rotating equipment, instrumentation, X-ray techniques).
  

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings (P&IDs, isometrics, blueprints).
  

• Strong communication, teamwork, and coordination skills.
  

• Highly skilled in Primavera P6
  

• Intermediate level MS Word, Excel, Outlook.
  

• Familiarity with MOC and PSSR processes, safety standards, and permit systems.
  

• Trained in PPE and field safety protocols, including respirators and SCBA.
