Job Opportunity: General Labor – Material Handler | Pooler, GA
Pay Rate: $16/hour (Pay increases by $1 after 90 days upon direct hire)
Location: Pooler, GA
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Lunch: 30 minutes
Overtime: Some overtime may be required


About the Role

As a Material Handler (General Labor), you’ll be an essential part of our warehouse team, ensuring the smooth flow of goods in and out of the facility. This hands-on position involves a variety of tasks to support warehouse operations, focusing on receiving, handling, and properly moving large and heavy items.


Key Responsibilities

  • Unload incoming shipments by hand, pallet jack, or cart

  • Load outgoing shipments safely and efficiently

  • Rework, relocate, and organize items weighing up to 75 pounds

  • Assist with general warehouse upkeep, such as sweeping, trash removal, and organizing aisles

  • Support team members by prepping loads for shipping (but not order picking)

  • Maintain a clean and hazard-free workspace to ensure safety for all

  • Identify and report damaged goods or any safety concerns to supervisors

  • Follow established procedures and safety standards for lifting and moving items

  • Occasionally support packing operations as needed

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Prior general labor or warehouse experience a plus

  • Familiarity with packing and shipping processes helpful

  • Able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 75 pounds repetitively

  • Strong teamwork and communication abilities

  • Attention to safety and detail in all tasks

  • Consistent and reliable attendance

Physical & Work Requirements

  • Must be able to bend, squat, reach, and stand for up to 8 hours

  • Will work in a non-temperature-controlled warehouse with large doors for airflow

  • Typical attire: Tennis shoes with covered ankles, jeans, and standard warehouse wear
