Kelly Outsourcing Consulting Group Kelly OCG, a managed solution provider and business unit of Kelly Services, Inc., is currently seeking a Lab Operations Admin for a long-term engagement at one of our Global medical device clients in Santa Clara, CA.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 1st shift (7AM Start)
Compensation: $30-34/hr
SUMMARY
This is a hands-on role within the Preclinical and Clinical Engineering teams and represents an outstanding opportunity to work cross functionally with various groups that utilize the Preclinical Labs. Assistance and support in this space will be essential to the development of highly innovative digital surgery platform.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Lab Operations:
- Supporting various laboratory research studies and research activities
- Laboratory supplies, tools, instrument procurement, inventory and distribution
- Assisting with lab event coordination
- Assisting with cadaveric tissue and biohazardous waste management
- Promoting environmental health and safety compliance in our labs per company policies
- Assisting in reviewing and revising SOPs on a quarterly basis or when necessary
- Shipping, receiving and storing Cadaveric tissue and laboratory supplies
- Assembly of laboratory furniture and equipment
Quality Support:
- Assisting in GLP audit readiness internally and externally
- Providing documentation, record and data reviews in accordance with internal SOPs and GLP
- regulations
- Handling and maintaining the GLP Archives
- Supporting training compliance over the Preclinical team
- Supporting to execute pre-GLP study checklist with rest of the cross-functional team
- Assisting in raw data verification and final QC study review
- Providing oversight and tracking deviations/ CAPA
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred, but not required
- Comfortable handling and working with cadaveric and animal tissue
- Experience in a biotech laboratory environment is desirable
- Some technical understanding of how to operate and handle various laboratory equipment is
- desired
- Experience working in medical device or pharmaceutical research is advantageous
- Some understanding of clinical anatomy and surgical methods is helpful
- Familiarity with GLP requirements is advantageous
- Interest and ability to learn surgical procedures in the Preclinical Lab environment
- Attention to detail and good verbal and written communication skills are required
- Familiarity working with Microsoft 365 applications such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint is
- required
- Comfortable handling and working with cadaveric and animal tissue is essential
