Maintenance Mechanic – Romeoville IL
Pay: $33+/hr + shift differential
Schedule: 2nd Shift | Monday – Friday | 2:00pm – 10:30pm

We’re looking for a Maintenance Mechanic who’s ready to roll up their sleeves and keep our food production lines running strong. You’ll handle everything from troubleshooting high-speed packaging machines to keeping facility systems in top shape.

What You’ll Do
- Keep our production and packaging equipment running safely and efficiently.
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Handle setup, changeovers, and quick fixes for conveyors, baggers, scales, and barcode systems.
- Read electrical schematics and perform basic PLC/VFD troubleshooting.
- Stay ahead of issues with preventive maintenance and regular inspections.
- Jump into action when equipment breaks down — keeping downtime to a minimum.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant workspace that meets USDA and facility standards.
What You Bring
- 5+ years of maintenance experience in food, beverage, or manufacturing (USDA/FDA a plus).
- Strong skills in 3-phase electrical systems, wiring, motors, and control panels.
- Experience using hand/power tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Team player who communicates clearly and responds quickly to issues.
- High school diploma or GED (technical training preferred).
