Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. (Month-end close required)
Pay rate: $40-50/hour
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to support financial reporting, planning, forecasting, and business results for our organization. In this role, you’ll take ownership of the month-end close process, oversee financial analysis, and ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.
This is an onsite role requiring strong leadership, technical accounting expertise, and the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger activity.

Maintain the general ledger system and ensure accuracy of financial data.

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Support regulatory reporting as needed.

Research accounting guidance to determine proper treatment of accounting topics.

Lead the budget and forecasting process in partnership with internal teams.

Manage and mentor an Accounting Clerk and ACII; oversee workflow in Workday.

Conduct monthly and quarterly flux analysis.

Support SOX compliance and internal controls.

Collaborate cross-functionally to support business initiatives and financial performance.
Required Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Minimum 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience</strong>; management experience preferred.

Strong understanding of finance, accounting principles, budgeting, and cost control.

Proficiency in Excel and experience with ERP systems (Workday preferred).

Experience with SOX requirements.

Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.

Ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced and multi-task environment.
Preferred Qualifications

MBA or CPA certification.
-
Experience in distribution or corporate finance (banking is not a match).

Demonstrated time management, prioritization, and financial acumen.
