Front Desk Administrative Coordinator (Steel Manufacturing)

Location: Marseilles, IL
Pay: $18–$20/hour (higher for highly qualified candidates)
Job Type: Full-time, Temporary Contract (6 weeks – ongoing contract)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

About the Role

Kelly Services is seeking a Front Desk Administrative Coordinator to support a major steel manufacturing facility in Marseilles, IL. This position covers for the current administrator during medical leave. You’ll be the first point of contact for visitors and teammates, keeping the front entrance running smoothly in a casual, teamwork-focused environment.

Responsibilities
• Greet and check in contractors, employees, and visitors
• Direct guests to appropriate contacts/areas
• Assist candidates with computer-based assessments
• Manage basic email and communication using Outlook and Word
• Coordinate meeting lunches; occasionally pick up orders
• Handle light admin tasks such as announcements, mailings, and simple projects

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of front desk or administrative experience required
• Comfortable in an office located within an industrial/steel mill environment
• Strong communication and customer-service skills
• Proficient with basic computer programs (Outlook, Word; Excel helpful)
• Reliable commute to Marseilles, IL

Work Environment
Casual dress code: jeans, polo, and clean tennis shoes are acceptable
• Primary workspace is the front office near the main entrance
• If accessing the plant floor, you will be escorted and provided PPE

Compensation & Assignment Details
Pay: $18–$21/hr BOE
Assignment Length: Approximately 6 weeks–6 months, depending on employee return-to-work
Pre-Employment Requirements:
• Background check
• Drug screen

Holiday Schedule
Off: Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day
• Early Release: New Year’s Eve
