Coating Associate – West Henrietta, NY
Kelly Services is seeking a Coating Associate for a precision manufacturing facility in West Henrietta, NY. This is a hands-on production role in a lab environment, supporting coating operations for high-quality optical components.
Shift & Pay:
- Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM, Monday – Friday
- Pay: $19.00 – $21.00/hour
Position Overview:
As a Coating Associate, you’ll help prepare work for coating machines, support coating changeovers, and cross-train on multiple lab processes. Your contributions ensure product quality, on-time delivery, and overall team success.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare glass substrates and perform sandblasting as needed.
- Load and unload coating machines and assist with coating runs.
- Cut masks and assist across multiple lab processes.
- Maintain a clean, organized workstation.
- Follow safety protocols and production procedures.
- Learn and cross-train on various coating equipment and value streams.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Excellent manual dexterity and visual acuity (ability to distinguish chromatic colors).
- Comfortable performing repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods; occasional light lifting.
- Team player who demonstrates integrity and reliability.
- Flexible to work overtime as needed.
Preferred Experience:
- Handling or cleaning optical-quality glass substrates.
- Exposure to quality systems, particularly in optical or precision manufacturing.
- Machine shop experience is a plus.
