Job Title: Test Technician (Onsite in Mentor, OH)

Duration: 6+ months (with a high likelihood of extension)
Are you ready to join a dynamic team where your skills and dedication make a difference? We are seeking a motivated Test Technician to join our team onsite in Mentor, OH. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in equipment testing while working in a supportive environment with growth potential.
Top Four Must-Haves:

  1. Strong Documentation and Communication Skills: Clear communication and meticulous documentation are essential for success in this role.

  2. Ability to Understand and Execute Test Scenarios: You will play a crucial role in executing test scenarios to ensure product quality and reliability.

  3. Proficiency with Computers and Microsoft Business Applications: Competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is required for effective data management and communication.

  4. 0-1 Year of Experience in Equipment Testing: While experience is preferred, we welcome motivated individuals looking to gain experience in equipment testing.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing test cases or test fixtures required for testing.

  • Execute tests and collect data using various test equipment to measure temperature, electricity, light, flow, pressure, strain, force, distance, time, noise, weight, and more.

  • Maintain detailed and up-to-date test data in active test logs.

  • Identify and record software or hardware defects in defect management tools.

  • Assist in analyzing electromechanical equipment failures and make repairs as needed.

  • Perform Exploratory / Ad-Hoc testing to uncover additional defects and record findings.

  • Support Systems and Software Teams in creating working instruction documents, procedure documents, and training material.

  • Maintain facility in a safe, clean, and orderly manner at all times in compliance with OSHA VPP standards.

What You Need to Be Successful:

  • A team player with the ability to collaborate effectively within a project team under guidance.

  • Solid professional work behaviors, including excellent attendance, teamwork, and time management skills.

  • Strong documentation and communication skills are essential for conveying information effectively.

  • Ability to read wiring/electrical and piping schematics, as well as engineering drawings.

  • Proficiency with computers and competent in Microsoft business applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

  • Ability to understand and execute test scenarios accurately.
