Pay Rate Range:
$27.00 to $30.20/ per hour (based on experience and location).

Hours:
After Training: 10:30am – 7pm CST.
Training (First 6-12 weeks), hours are 8am-4:30pm CST

What’s a typical day as a Virtual Insurance Analyst? You’ll be:

  • Providing customer service to patients and insurance providers.

  • Investigate patients’ insurance benefits and financial assistance opportunities.

  • Processing and monitoring prior authorizations to assist the patient in starting or continuing therapy.

  • Act as the subject matter expert in insurance billing, claims processing, and prior authorizations.

  • Facilitate communication between departments, payors, and providers to determine patients’ prescription coverage.

  • Provide progress reports periodically.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you have:

  • At least 5 years of experience in prior authorizations, insurance claims processing, and insurance billing.

  • Possess excellent technical skills, and experience in the use of MS Office applications and internal web tools/applications.

  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to resolve escalated insurance situations.

  • HS Diploma/GED required, Bachelor’s preferred.

  • Experienced working in a call center environment.

  • Thorough understanding and knowledge of commercial and government pharmacy and medical insurance programs

  • Experienced in medical billing and experienced in reimbursement processes, prior authorization and appeal filings (specialty pharmacy operations).
