Kelly Services a leader in providing global workforce solutions is seeking a skilled and experienced Draftsperson with proficiency in 2D CAD to join our team. As a Draftsperson, you will play a key role in assisting our engineering and design teams in creating detailed electrical technical drawings.
Please note that this is a 1 year contract with the possibility of extension.
Responsibilities:

  • Utilize 2D CAD software (or similar) to create and update detailed electrical technical drawings based on requirements and specifications.

  • Collaborate with engineers and maintenance personal to understand project objectives and translate modified designs into accurate drawings.

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in all drawings and designs produced.

  • Review and revise drawings as necessary to incorporate feedback, accommodate changes, or address issues during the design process.

  • Maintain organized files and documentation of drawings, revisions, and project specifications for reference and record-keeping purposes.

  • Assist in the preparation of materials and documentation for project proposals, presentations, and client meetings as needed.

  • Stay current with industry trends, software updates, and best practices in drafting and design.

Requirements:

  • Technical degree or equivalent in drafting, electrical engineering, or related field.

  • Proven experience working as a Draftsperson, preferably in a construction or engineering.

  • Proficiency in 2CAD software with a strong understanding of drafting principles and techniques.

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in creating technical drawings and plans.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Familiarity with relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements.

  • Comfortable working in a fast pace industrial environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of 2D/3D CAD modeling

  • Experienced in using Microsoft Tools (Outlook, TEAM, Excel)

  • Knowledge of electrical schematic symbols

  • Previous experience in the construction or engineering industries
