Kelly Services a leader in providing global workforce solutions is seeking a skilled and experienced Draftsperson with proficiency in 2D CAD to join our team. As a Draftsperson, you will play a key role in assisting our engineering and design teams in creating detailed electrical technical drawings.
Please note that this is a 1 year contract with the possibility of extension.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize 2D CAD software (or similar) to create and update detailed electrical technical drawings based on requirements and specifications.
- Collaborate with engineers and maintenance personal to understand project objectives and translate modified designs into accurate drawings.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in all drawings and designs produced.
- Review and revise drawings as necessary to incorporate feedback, accommodate changes, or address issues during the design process.
- Maintain organized files and documentation of drawings, revisions, and project specifications for reference and record-keeping purposes.
- Assist in the preparation of materials and documentation for project proposals, presentations, and client meetings as needed.
- Stay current with industry trends, software updates, and best practices in drafting and design.
Requirements:
- Technical degree or equivalent in drafting, electrical engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience working as a Draftsperson, preferably in a construction or engineering.
- Proficiency in 2CAD software with a strong understanding of drafting principles and techniques.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in creating technical drawings and plans.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
- Comfortable working in a fast pace industrial environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of 2D/3D CAD modeling
- Experienced in using Microsoft Tools (Outlook, TEAM, Excel)
- Knowledge of electrical schematic symbols
- Previous experience in the construction or engineering industries
