Onsite in O’Fallon, Missouri
Rate: $56,000-$69,000- DOE
Monday-Friday 5AM-3:30PM
This position significantly contributes to our manufacturing of high quality waterproof wire connectors. This position is primarily responsible for the setup, operation, and product inspection on our spring coiling equipment.
Job Duties:
- Performs mechanical setup and operation of spring coiling equipment
- Inspection of springs using tools such as optical comparator, calipers, and pin gauges
- Follow visual KanBans to maintain wire inventory and determine production priorities
- Use of various hand tools and machine tools
- Performs preventative maintenance tasks according to the preventative maintenance schedule
- Identify and assist in continuous improvement opportunities related to machine setup
- Follow safe work practices including PPE requirements
- Maintain a clean work area including 5S standards
About You:
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Proven ability to setup and troubleshoot cam operated equipment
- Motivated and the ability to work with minimal supervision
- Willing to work overtime when required
- Ability to bend, lift up to 75lbs and stand during assembly process
- Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally
Required Experience:
- 5+ Years experience performing in spring coiling in a manufacturing environment
- Hands on experience with mechanical spring coiling equipment or screw machines
- Must be able to read and understand engineering drawings
- Must be able to use material handling equipment including forklifts
