Job Summary:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Office Assistant/Receptionist/Secretary to join our team. In this role, you will provide entry-level clerical and office support work, ensuring the smooth functioning of our organization. You will be responsible for processing transactions, maintaining records, and assisting with various administrative tasks. Job Specifications:
– Job Type: Full-time
– Location: Syracuse, NY
– Pay Rate: $20/hour
– Shift: Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5 pm
Roles and Responsibilities:
– Provide general office support by answering questions and providing information to various parties regarding agency activities, transactions, and procedures.
– Operate communication systems such as telephones and computers, while maintaining accurate records of communications.
– Perform basic cleaning and maintenance on office machines and equipment, ensuring their proper functioning.
– Schedule appointments and meetings using various office tools.
– Process routine activities, including checking forms for completeness and accuracy.
Qualifications & Skills:
– High school diploma or equivalent.
– Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
– Proficient in using office equipment and computer systems.
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
– Basic knowledge of financial, accounting, and/or statistical records.
– Ability to perform calculations and computations using known formulas and methods.
– Proficient in typing, proofreading, and reviewing written material.
– Familiarity with record-keeping and filing systems.
– Ability to handle mail, including sorting, distributing, and processing outgoing mail.
– Basic inventory management skills, including receiving, storing, and distributing goods.
– Data entry and verification experience, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
