Kelly is now hiring! Our client located in Ottawa, ON is hiring a Medical Receptionist. As the Medical Receptionist you will play a crucial role in the smooth functioning of a healthcare facility by serving as the first point of contact for patients and visitors. This is a contract role set at 4 weeks with the possibility to extend.

Duties:
– Greet and check-in patients in a friendly and professional manner
– Schedule and confirm appointments using electronic medical records system
– Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate staff member
– Collect patient information and update electronic medical records
– Verify insurance coverage and assist with billing inquiries
– Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk area
– Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents

Qualifications:
– Previous experience in a medical office or similar administrative role preferred
– Proficient in using electronic medical records systems
– Excellent communication and customer service skills
– Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
– Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes is a plus
– Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to privacy regulations
