Pay rate: $100,000-140,000/year
Responsibilities
- Independently conceive, design, and execute in vitro immunological assays using primary immune cells and tumor co-culture systems, including cytokine profiling, cytotoxicity, and flow cytometry-based functional assays.
- Design and implement in vivo studies (both internal and external), including murine tumor xenograft modeling and pharmacokinetic analyses for large molecules.
- Effectively manage collaborations with third-party vendors (vivariums, CROs, etc.) and internal cross-functional teams to ensure timely and successful execution of research studies.
- Support early-stage target discovery and validation by generating TCR-transgenic cell lines, screening putative peptide/HLA targets, and reviewing relevant target biology for program nomination.
- Collaborate on multidisciplinary project teams, working closely with colleagues in protein sciences and program management to progress candidate therapeutics through various stages of development.
- Maintain awareness of advancements in the T cell engager field and proactively incorporate innovative methodologies and industry best practices.
Qualifications.
- PhD with 4-6 years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with 8-10 years; title and compensation dependent on qualifications.
- Demonstrated expertise in immunology and in vitro assessment of primary immune cell function, including proficiency with MSD/ELISA, Incucyte or similar platforms, flow cytometry, FACS, and other functional plate reader assays (e.g., LDH release).
- Hands-on experience working with murine tumor models.
- Previous experience in drug discovery and development environments, with strong organizational skills supporting multiple concurrent projects and cross-functional collaborations.
- Rigorous and detailed recordkeeping, including electronic lab notebooks, experiment documentation, and compliance with regulatory standards.
Preferred:
- Expertise in therapeutic efficacy studies using humanized mouse and tumor xenograft models.
- Experience in the discovery and/or development of bispecific T cell engagers.
- In-depth knowledge of TCR/pMHC interactions and antigen processing pathways.
- Bioanalytical or regulatory experience supporting IND or similar filings.
- Familiarity with project tracking and management tools such as Benchling.
