Kelly Science & Clinical is currently seeking candidates for a Lab Technician position at a petrochemical testing laboratory in  Corpus Christi, TX. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of chemical and physical analyses on petroleum fuels and chemicals.

Additional Job Responsibilities:

• Perform all required testing on petroleum fuels, gasoline, and chemical samples
  

• Assist in the setting up of laboratory equipment and / or instrumentation required for the analysis of samples
  

• Assist in calibrating laboratory instruments in accordance with applicable standards
  

• Perform standardization of all solutions
  

• Document all activities and record keeping according to SOP’s
  

• Assist in all other laboratory assignments and projects
  

• General upkeep and housekeeping of the Laboratory

Job Requirements:

• AS/BS in Chemistry or other related technical discipline is preferred
  

• A minimum of 1 year of lab experience in the chemical industry is required
  

• Must be able to work with all chemicals, petrochemicals, and petroleum products
  

• Ability to work with minimal or no supervision coupled with excellent organizational skills
  

• Excellent interpersonal, customer service and communication (verbal and written) skills
  

• Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.) and other applications
  

• Ability to work a rotating day and night shift work schedule

This is a temp to hire opportunity with a rotating day and night shift schedule, 5-5. The work schedule is 2 weeks on the day shift, then 2 weeks on the night shift, with every other weekend off.
